When I decided to start Affirmed Emotions Therapy, I was working for a much larger practice & things just didn't feel right. I found myself finishing my days fucking frustrated at the end. Then I realized why. Their core values & my core values were NOT 🚫 the same. So I decided to start my own, starting with my core values & building my way up. And that's how we got here, my guys.
At AET, I'm committed to providing supportive, empathetic, & affirming care to all y'all. It doesn't matter what your race, gender, gender identity, sexuality, sexual orientation, or relationship structure is. The therapy I provide is grounded in authenticity, transparency, inclusivity, & compassion - trust & believe I tell it like it is, in the kindest, warmest way possible 🫶🏻.
I respect & support every single one of y'all in exploring & expressing your true self - whoever that is. I work hard to foster a space free from any judgment & discrimination. There's enough of that shit going on right now - you don't need it in therapy, too.
I'm a proud sex work positive, kink-aware, & racial justice allied therapist. My goal is to empower & all y'all achieve personal growth🌿, learn how resilient you are, & work through resistance to get to the healing.❤️🩹 I promise to embrace acceptance & diversity & to continue to advocate for equal rights & equal opportunities for all of us.
I truly think that therapy has to be a balance ⚖️ of a lot of different things to be effective: a really strong therapeutic connection, a mix of different treatment approaches (ain't no cookie cutter therapy or checking damn boxes here), effort from both you AND me, plenty of humor & laughter (if you don't feel like we could be friends, I'm doing something wrong), & a little fun sprinkled in with the hard stuff.
Real talk - yes, I want to see the pictures, & yes, I want to read the texts! You can even make me a slideshow - those are my favorites! 📸
I swear I'll be truthful, genuine, & congruent in every situation & in every session. I don't know any other way to be, if I'm being honest. There are gonna be times I have to share some hard truths, but I promise to do it in the gentlest (or funniest - whichever you prefer) way possible, while still making sure it’s helpful.
Not sympathy. I refuse to feel sorry for you - that's not helpful, but I'll put myself if your shoes so I can understand what you’re feeling & be right there with you in those feelings. I’ll sit with you in them until you’re ready to work through & process them, because sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.
So if you need a sesh where we just sit & you explore your feelings & talk to me when you want, I'm here for it. If you need a sesh where you need someone to co-work with you so you can get stuff done, I'm here for it. If you need a sesh where you talk my ear off about things unrelated to what we've been working on, I'm here for it. I'm your person.
EVERY. 👏🏻 SINGLE. 👏🏻 FUCKING. 👏🏻 PERSON. 👏🏻 deserves equal rights, opportunities, & protection from discrimination - full stop. 🛑 These things aren’t privileges; they’re basic human rights. I’m 1000% committed to making sure you feel seen, heard, respected, and valued in every session, & that these rights are upheld every time we meet. But going back to that authenticity thing I mentioned before ⤴️ - if I fuck up, I'm gonna own it, apologize, & work to be better.

Trust me, I legit value your privacy. HIPAA says I have to. But, I'm nothing if not transparent SO - there are cookies. Unfortunately they're not the chocolate chip kind. BUT, feel free to bring those to sesh with you! Whether you opt in or not is something that's out of my control! 🤷🏼♀️
